Škoda Superb Estate
The current generation of the Superb model offers customers a spacious car with advanced technology (TSI, a DSG gearbox, AFS adaptive headlights and a TwinDoor rear door). The new Combi adds a number of benefits to those the liftback already has.
Primarily, the generous 633/1,865 litre luggage space with many new comfort and functional elements, the two-part panoramic sunroof with sliding front part, electrical opening and closing of the rear door with lighting, an advanced 4 x 4 drive and also, in the course of 2010, a keyless KESSY system for locking, unlocking and starting the car.
Electrically Controlled Rear Door
The elegant but dynamic lines of the car are harmoniously completed by the rear door. Together with the newly shaped rear group headlights, they are one of the main design elements of the new Superb Combi.
A significant element that increases even further the comfort of operation is the option of electronically opening and closing it. Either with the help of a button on the remote control key or button on the inside of the rear door and the central console. In addition, it is possible to set the height (upper position) of the opening of the door. Dirty hands when operating it in bad weather are basically a thing of the past.
The door corresponds to the strictest safety standards. It is fitted with protection against sticking and, for example, its opening and the setting of the position is accompanied by an acoustic signal from the speakers in the lining.
New Luggage Space Concept
The variable luggage space is one of great benefits of the new model. The basic volume of 633 litres can be increased, after folding the back seats down, to up to 1,865 litres, which allows very voluminous loads to be transported, if required.
A new concept (not standard for all versions) includes, in addition to other things, a floor with fastening elements to secure luggage (a system with integrated aluminium strips), and an automatic roll cover, folding hooks, six fixing points for the net program and a removable LED light. The illumination of the boot and the space behind the car is taken care of by a pair of lamps located on the inner side of the rear door.
A loading edge height of only 600 mm and an extendable floor section, which enables the upper edge of the rear bumper to be covered so that it cannot be damaged, significantly facilitates the handling of voluminous or heavy luggage.
